Visit to a Ham Store in Houston

Was in Houston a few days this weeks and decided to look up a small store devoted to ham radio out by Bush Airport. A shop like this would be nice to have near my QTH. Lots of connectors, MFJ products and a repair shop. As i drove up to the place I noticed a VHF vertical and a 33 foot vertical for HF on the roof of the business. Not much in the way of new rigs though. They had some older tube rigs for sale and a new IC-718 as well as some handhelds. What was interesting was they had a IC-7300 setup that I played with a while on receive. I asked if they had any for sale and was told that they did a sale/trade the day before on the last one they had in stock. The trade was with a IC-7000 which they were selling with an LDG tuner for $1000. Also a interesting all band radio. The IC-7300 does look like a slick radio but frankly it didn’t seem much different than my IC-7100.
